COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — A Sioux Falls man arrested in a U-Haul with 29 others allegedly planning to riot at a Pride event in northern Idaho last year was ordered to pay a fine after accepting a plea agreement last week. James Michael Johnson, 42, of Sioux Falls, admitted to a Kootenai County, Idaho, judge on Wednesday, Aug. 30, to participating in an assembly without a permit. The admission came as part of a plea deal to dismiss Johnson's original charge of conspiracy to riot, leaving an infraction on his permanent record instead of a criminal offense.
