NIC, Spokane Sports Commission to run Spokane Open wrestling tournament North Idaho College and the Spokane Sports Commission agreed to a partnership to run the Spokane Open wrestling tournament on Sunday, Nov. 19 at The Podium in Spokane. Open to collegiate wrestling teams or individuals with a USA Wrestling membership, the tournament uses NCAA weight classes and rules for men and NAIA (UWW) rules for women. Tournament founder Craig Hanson started the event in 2009 has run it independently since.
